Private Client Law
A boutique London law practice needed a website as considered as its counsel. ClarroxWeb designed a restrained, editorial site that signals discretion and authority before a visitor reads a word, giving a referral-led firm a digital presence that carries the same weight as its reputation.
Challenge
Private-client law runs on trust, discretion, and standing. A boutique firm advising families and family enterprises competes with much larger names, and prospective clients judge that firm on restraint rather than noise.
- Standing without shouting. The site had to feel established and senior, not like a templated corporate page.
- Discretion by design. Showing a track record without naming clients is a hard balance for a confidential practice.
- The first impression is the brief. For this audience, a dated or generic website quietly undercuts the firm’s credibility.
Approach
ClarroxWeb built an editorial design closer to a private publication than a law-firm template. Serif typography, generous whitespace, and a muted palette of ink, cream, and sage set a tone of calm authority from the first scroll.
The structure mirrors how the firm actually works: The Practice, Practice Areas, The Firm, Recent Matters, and Notes. Recent Matters appear as discreet, outcome-only entries with no client names, so the firm shows a track record while protecting confidentiality. Partner and team profiles give the human trust signals private clients look for.
Every layout decision favors thought over speed, with deliberate pacing, restrained motion, and a reading experience that stays composed on any device.
Results
- A presence that matches the firm’s positioning, senior and discreet rather than loud.
- A confidential track record made visible through outcome-only matter summaries.
- Clear routes to the right counsel across a five-section structure, from practice areas to partner profiles.
- Fast, accessible, and fully responsive, with the same composure on mobile as on desktop.
